BUNGOMA MCAs IN BID TO KICK OUT SPEAKER.
Members of the Bungoma county Assembly have kick started an ambitious process of impeaching their speaker. So far 33 ward leaders out of 61 both elected and nominated have signed in a list in possession of Bumula Mirror. Kabuchai/Chwele MCA Barasa Mukhongo of Ford Kenya is the first one in the list to kick start the process of impeaching Mr.Emmanuel Situma who had been chosen by the party. The MCAs are blaming the speaker for colluding with the area governor Wycliffe Wangamati thus making it hard for them to carry on with their oversight roles. “Our Speaker has lost direction, he is going to bed with the executive, it has been a hell for us carrying out with our oversight roles, we are an independent body which should be respected, this is not a Ford Kenya affair,” said an MCA who asked for anonymity.
