40 BIKES GIVEN TO RIDERS IN GRAND BODABODA EMPOWERMENT PLAN

Bodaboda riders from Bumula SubCounty of Bumula constituency yesterday received a major boost when the area Member of Parliament Mwambu Mabongah handed them 40 new motorbikes,carrying on with his empowerment drive targeting the riders. The ceremony which was held in Kabula ward brought together leaders and prospective partners whose sole target was to see every rider own a motorcycle by 2022. Speaking at the ceremony, the legislator urged youth to be agents of positive change and engage in productive discourses that target at bettering their existence. "To our youth. What we're giving you today is a fishing rod. My target is to ensure you earn a living and not depend on hand outs from people who misuse you. Mwambu Mabongah has urged the Ministry of Education to fast track teacher employment in its grand education policy if the nation wishes to benefit from the anticipated new talent based curriculum. Speaking at the graduation ceremony of The St. Paul's Diploma TTC Kibabii held at their Syombe campus,the legislator raised issue with the policy of teacher employment crafted by TSC which disadvantages diploma teachers during interviews. " It is ironical how we invest in educating these teachers yet we devalue them at interviews.
