END OF PARTY POLITICS IN BUNGOMA AS WANGAMATI STRIKES WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH WAMALWA,JUBILEE.

Party hardliners in Bungoma are headed for political doldrums. To those drunk with ideologies of 'my mother party, the coin is not in their pocket.Yes.  The Governor of Bungoma county H.E Wycliffe Wafula WANGAMATI has chosen the path of development and not Ford Kenya party worship.

Today, the Governor held talks with the Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, who was and remains the Jubilee point person in the county and the western region.
The talks which were largely fruitful centred on the national government's plan to roll out a multi billion water project that will seek to address water problems in the entire Western region.

According to our sources at Maji House, the Cabinet Secretary chaired their meeting which focused on water and irrigation infrastructure projects in Western region and Bungoma county; with the ongoing and planned projects said to be to the tune of Ksh. 100 Billion.

Kakamega-Bungoma bulk water supply project is set to take Ksh. 50Bn while the Mt. Elgon-Bungoma-Busia Water  and the Upper Nzoia Irrigation taking an estimated Ksh. 54 Bn.
Later in the afternoon,CS Wamalwa received Ministerial Committee report on Transitional Management of National Water Conservation and Pipeline Corporation(NWCPC) to the National Water Harvesting Storage Authority(NWHSA).The National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority will ensure efficiency in flood  and drought mitigation as well as water infrastructure development across the country.

Hon. Wangamati had been Eugene's harshest critic with his recent remarks in funerals depicting Eugene as incompetent.

Pundits in the county have lauded Wangamati's move and congratulated Wamalwa for the maturity he has exhibited.
Bumula MP Hon. Mwambu Mabongah described Wangamati's move as a step in the right direction arguing that as leaders, they should shun politics of blind party allegiance and seek working alliances for the better of the people.
"My brother Wangamati is on the right track. I campaigned for him knowing well clear what he is capable of.Let us shelve politics until when it is the right time. Today, our people are looking at us to deliver them from poverty. Let's seek alliances that will help us achieve this." Hon. Mwambu said on phone.

However, Ford Kenya party functionaries are said to be unhappy with the move.
Political diversity of opinion is expected as analysts warn of retaliation from Party luminaries who still believe in party politics.
