FORMER VP'S WIDOW DIES.

Yvonne Wamalwa, widow of the late former Vice President Michael Wamalwa Kijanahas passed away,
Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwahas confirmed.
According to sources closeto the family,Yvonne diedat her sister's home inNanyuki today morning. CS Eugene Wamalwa has also confirmed thatthe family is making arrangements to airlift the body to Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi.

Yvonne Wamalwa was married ina societywedding (complete with vintage cars and morning suits, six months before Wamalwa's death at 58) which got Kenyans talking in 2003.
The alumnus of Cardinal Otunga Girls High Schooland Murdoch University(Terrorism and International Security) is aone-time Deputy Permanent Representative of Kenya to Habitat, anappointment which was done byformer PresidentMwai Kibaki after the death of her husband.
She was later appointed as the Deputy High Commissioner to Australia and Deputy Director, Parliamentary and County Government Directorate.

As theDeputy Directorfor Parliamentary and County Government, Yvonne was working closely with Ambassador Eliphas Barine, the directorincharge of parliamentary and county affairs, to form a cohesive and harmonious relationship between thenational and the county governments on foreign policy matters.

MWAMBU, BUMULA EARMARKED FOR THE NG-CDF FETE FOR PRUDENTIAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT.

SIXTH PROJECT OPENED IN SIXTH MONTH OF THE YEAR AS MWAMBU KEEPS A-PROJECT-A-MONTH POLICY ALIVE

The trajectory being babysat  and weaned by first term fiery legislator Mwambu Mabongah in what he termed a Rapid Response Initiative targeting to addressing the infrastructure state in schools. Having kicked off his reform agenda in schools with mudwalled classrooms and under-the-tree schools, Mabongah's efforts are being felt.
