MWAMBU,LUSAKA IN PUSH FOR DEVELOPMENT AND MULEMBE UNITY.

The Bumula People's MP Hon. Mwambu Mabongah today hosted senate speaker Ken Lusaka in St. Teresa's Sec. School Kabula where the duo launched the school's ambitious 5 year strategic plan.

Speaking at the event,the MP emphasized on the need for a synergized approach to education where stakeholders work towards achieving nothing but excellence for students and schools.

He gave a cumulative 50,000 to support welfare programs at the school and pledged to donate 250 iron sheets towards completion of two classrooms in the school.

"...I have supported education since I gained status. I keep doing so given my past. Mr. Principal,I will donate 250 iron sheets towards completion of those classrooms. I must guarantee the learning environment of our kids because I know what it means educating a needy kid,'' the MP said,adding that through CDF,Bumula will be sparkling clean since his campaign platform was laid on  progression.

" Bursary applicants should not worry. Government has released part of the money and I'll be authorising disbursement in a fortnight,''the MP said.

The senate speaker also gave Ksh. 50,000 towards welfare and promised 250 iron sheets in a fortnight.

The community lauded the two leaders for being development conscious with Hon. Mwambu bring credited with an ambitious scholarship scheme that is currently benefitting  10 students in the school,construction of an administration block among other projects.
Speaker Ken Lusaka was credited for a classroom he fully funded last week.

Mwambu and Lusaka implored Luhyas to unite and shun party politics and engage objectively for the benefit of the community.


Earlier in the day the Senate Speaker, Rt. Hon. Kenneth Lusaka lauded NASA leader, Raila Odinga for the step he took in reconciling with President Uhuru Kenyatta. While addressing mourners during the burial of Prof. Alloys Tumbo-Oeri in Mosocho, Kisii, Lusaka said the move was important in ensuring the country moves forward.

"That gesture has lowered the political temperatures in the country. It has even made my work in senate easier as senators from across the political divide now focus on national development issues"

Present at the funeral were former Prime Minister and NASA leader, Raila Odinga, Kisii County Governor, James Ongwae, Kisii Senator, Prof. Ongeri, area MP, Richard Onyonka, Bungoma County Women Representative, Catherine Wambilianga, among other leaders.
