BUMULA ON COURSE TO BETTER INFRASTRUCTURE IN SCHOOLS AS MWAMBU LEADS MPs TO AN INSPECTION TOUR OF PROGRESS.



The long standing dalliance of Bumula with poor infrastructural establishment in schools is slowly being done away with.
This is courtesy of the area Member of Parliament Hon. Mwambu Mabongah in his quest to rid the constituency of mud walled classrooms and 'under the tree schools.'

Today,the legislator led the Parliamentary Select Committee on CDF in inspecting projects to which he issued cheques a fortnight ago.
The team toured Mutua Primary School & Khasoko D.O's Office as sampled by the CDF board.

The progress in construction exuded a commitment from the Project Management team and the implementing contractors,with the Department of Public Works giving the workmanship a clean bill of health.

Hon. Mwambu swore to work with the speed exhibited in these projects to make sure standards of work and efficiency are raised so that Bumula Constituency gets better rating in infrastructure development.

"I walked around schools in this constituency. About half of the schools have a challenge of infrastructure. They either lack classes or have mud walled classrooms that aren't even enough for the school's population. I have began with the worst hit. Mutua,Napara ACK,Mundaa,Wacholi and other schools with mud walled classrooms. Let us walk a step at a time.
We shall rid Bumula of the shame today. There will be no mud walled classroom during and after my tenure," said the legislator.

The Committee comprising Matuga MP Tandaza Sawa, Kabuchai MP Lusweti Mukwe, Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tongoi, Hon. Wangwe Nabakholo Mp and Mt. Elgon MP Fred Kapondi lauded the MP for balancing the resource allocation,doing quality work and improving efficiency. They swore to assist push the MP's agenda through.

"We are extremely happy with the kind of work this MP is doing. With very little funds the schools are undergoing a rare transformation. We will assist Hon. Mwambu champion his agenda. We will do so by ratifying his proposals and even presiding over harambees in Bumula. It is a good course and any sane man will have no option but to support it," said Mr. Kapondi.

Later in the day,Hon. Mwambu hosted the honourable Members of Parliament to a luncheon at his home.

 Hon. Mwambu is set to inspect the Mundaa, Napara ACK and Wacholi Primary schools projects over the weekend.
