40 MOTORBIKES GIVEN TO BODABODA IN AMBITIOUS EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME

The Bumula MP Hon. Mwambu Mabongah today handed over 40 motorcycles to bodaboda operators from Kimaeti Sub county of Bumula Constituency in an ambitious empowerment programme that would see each motorcycle operator own their own bikes.
Speaking at the ceremony, the legislator called on youth to take charge of their destiny and avoid bring used by unscrupulous politicians who don't want them to excel.
"We have come a long way in seeking to make this dream a reality. It is quite unfortunate that some leaders incited bodaboda operators to share the money I personally raised with my friends, towards this course. I'm happy that it has come to fruition," Hon. Mwambu said.
"To you young men. Do not follow leaders who invest in your problems. Do you think a leader who doesn't want you to get empowered holds any thought of your future? Beware! Do not be used to benefit a man who wants to kill your destiny," the MP added.

The programme which was implemented in partnership with Car & General has attracted accolades with those present praising it and the MP for thinking positively of bodaboda.
