Bumula Member of Parliament Hon. Mwambu Mabongah has been monitoring and evaluating the progress of CDF funded projects in his constituency even as he quests to get value for money for his constituents.

Today,the first time legislator visited Mundaa Primary School in Khasoko ward, Wacholi Primary School in West Bukusu ward and Napara ACK Primary School in Siboti ward checking the quality of workmanship being invested in the projects.

His interaction with residents exuded positive feedback.

The projects are part of his ambitious programme that seeks to rid Bumula of under-the-tree and mud walled classrooms.

The trajectory being babysat  and weaned by first term fiery legislator Mwambu Mabongah in what he termed a Rapid Response Initiative targeting to addressing the infrastructure state in schools. Having kicked off his reform agenda in schools with mudwalled classrooms and under-the-tree schools, Mabongah's efforts are being felt. Today,the MP opened a 3 classroom block at St. Elizabeth Wacholi Primary School in West Bukusu ward of his constituency, bringing the sum of schools and projects he has completed and opened,this year to 6. MWAMBU, BUMULA EARMARKED FOR THE NG-CDF FETE FOR PRUDENTIAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT.

By Our Correspondent. Bumula Constituency and its legislator Mwambu Mabongah will be feted for prudent resource management by the National Government Constituency Development Fund. This is according to NG-CDF Board Chair Mr. Masese and CEO Yusuf Mbuno,who expressed their awe upon completing a tour of projects sampled in each of the seven wards,across the expansive Constituency.  Speaking at the St. Michael Nakhwana Primary School where the tour culminated in the opening of a CDF funded three classrooms and office project,Mbuno told Wananchi  that he has never seen anywhere,the zeal for development and economical prudence in maximising available meagre resources to address teething community needs over a very short period. KENYAN TO HEAD IMF'S INDEPENDENT AUDIT OFFICE.

International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Christine Lagarde yesterday announced her decision to appoint Nancy Asiko Onyango as Director of the Fund’s Office of Internal Audit and Inspection (OIA). The OIA conducts independent examinations of the IMF’s internal control and governance processes. Ms. Onyango, a Kenyan national, will succeed Clare Brady, who left the Fund earlier this Fall. Her appointment will take effect in February 2018. “Ms. Onyango brings to the Fund more than 25 years of experience in internal audit, strategic risk management, corporate governance, and IT risk management,” Ms. Lagarde said. “In addition to her extensive assurance and corporate governance experience, Nancy is passionate about empowering women and girls, notably in harnessing their leadership potential.
