PROJECT OPENING AND YOUTH EMPOWERMENT MARK MWAMBU WEEKEND OF DEVELOPMENT

Bumula Member of Parliament Hon. Mwambu Mabongah yesterday played host to the CEO,Youth Enterprise Development Fund,Josiah Arabu Moriasi to mark the end of a weeklong empowerment programme that targets at planting seed capital into hands of young people in the constituency.

Speaking at one workshop at Kimwanga Catholic Hall, Mwambu reaffirmed his resolve to instil self reliance among the youth even as he decried the low amount of loans disbursed to the constituency since  the fund's inception.
"I looked at the statistics and cried for
my people. In 11 years of existence Youth Fund has only given 6.2 Million to  Bumula youth,yet another constituency has been given close to a a billion. Bwana CEO we must change that." the legislator opined.
Mr. Moriasi affirmed this saying,it is unfair that such a disparity. He committed Ksh. 5 million to 50 youth groups from Bumula in the next one month.
"I agree Mheshimiwa,we have that disparity. I took over just two years ago and with you,we'll scale the disparity down. I am committing Ksh. 5 million towards this in the next one month," the CEO said.

Two Classrooms
Later in the day,the legislator officially opened two classrooms at Friends School Kisioyi,a project he has completed under his tenure before attending an AGM at Bumula Girls' School.
