MWAMBU IMPLEMENTS HIS SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE REFORM AGENDA,GIVES 10 MILLION TO SCHOOLS.

Bumula Member of Parliament Hon. Mwambu Mabongah has made strides in his ambitious programme to see infrastructure improved in schools.

The legislator spend the better part of today issuing cheques to schools across the constituency in a deliberate move to build classrooms and other school infrastructure that previously lacked.

The exercise  saw over 10 million issued to Kisioyi Primary School and Namuningie Primary School in West Bukusu ward,Nangata Sec School in Siboti Ward,Mutua Primary School and Mikokwe Sec School in Bumula Ward,Nakholo Primary School and Lumboka Memorial Sec School in South Bukusu ward, Tulukuyi Secondary School and Kitingia Primary School in Kimaeti ward and Bukumuma Primary School in Kabula Ward.

Speaking at Bukumuma Primary school, the MP emphasized his resolve to better the learning environment of learners and teachers,an initiative that will turn around performance of the learner and leverage their ability to compete with other schools.

"Our kids cannot compete with Lugulu pupils when they sit in mudwalled structures, with dusty, jigger infested floors. Today,I have given money to schools to continue the infrastructural transformation agenda that I kick started. Bumula must be equipped to compete," the MP said.

The first term lawmaker has covered vast paces in this quest with local social rankings rating him at 90% in getting rid of the mudwalled schools and providing shelter where there was none.
