I WILL CONTINUE RAISING STANDARDS IN BUMULA,MWAMBU SWEARS
Bumula Member of Parliament Hon. Mwambu Mabongah condoled with the family of Hon. Jack Wambulwa following the death of the latter's mother.
The legislator used the opportunity to challenge youth to take advantage of the recently released bursaries and concentrate on excellence in education.
"I have launched the first tranche of the CDF bursaries. The process was above board because vetting was done by yourselves. I believe you gave my committee names of the truly needy students and they have benefited.
My allocation is Ksh. 10,000 and I intent to better if not maintain the standard in the coming tranches," the MP said amid a frenzy of applause from the mourners.
Mwambu swore to rid the constituency of mudwalled classrooms even as he encouraged headteachers to apply for infrastructure funds which he personally pledged to assist in their acquisition so that the infrastructural establishment in Bumula schools is improved.
The MP directed the Constituency Manager to deliver 200 iron sheets to Bukirimo Primary school to assist renovate their roof that is rusty and condemned by quality assurance staff.
"My eyes are now set on improving infrastructure. CDF will do standard work under my dispensation.
However,I advise headteachers to apply for infrastructure funds. I'll personally follow up to ensure you get the funds so that we complement each other in improving the status of our constituency.
On the deteriorating security situation in Bumula Constituency and Bungoma county,the MP took to task the security apparatus swearing to lead an onslaught on corrupt police that are being implicated as collaborating with criminals. He promised to seek audience with relevant offices to fix this.
The legislator's development blueprint which leans heavily on infrastructure,job creation, education and social security is being lauded as the right prescription for the constituency which was largely described as lagging behind in development, before he took charge.
