MWAMBU, KETER LAUNCH THE LIGHT UP BUMULA PROJECT,TARGET 80% CONNECTION BY YEAR END


The Bumula Member of Parliament  Hon.  Mwambu  Mabongah hosted the CS Energy and Petroleum Hon.  Charles Keter in launching the last mile connection and street lighting programme christened "Light Up Bumula. "

Speaking at the function held at Lunakwe in South Bukusu ward of Bumula Constituency, the legislator noted with concern the dismal connection of his constituents to the national electricity grid,swearing to sort out the problem during his first term.

".... Only   8 out of 100 Bumula residents have access to electricity. Yes, this is the case today.  With my efforts I'll ensure this is corrected.  I will see to it that the situation is improved to about 80% by end of this year. " Hon.  Mwambu said amid applause.

CS Keter on his part promised to partner with the area MP and other development  conscious leaders in actualising the electrification dream.
".. It is true.  Our statistics put Bumula at 8% in terms of access to power and connection to electricity. I like well meaning leaders like my friend  Mabongah. I will ensure we deliver on  increasing this percentage. "

The MP noted that this project would improve security, inspire innovation and create a good business environment for the Bumula populace and business community.

The function brought on board MCAs the Bungoma Woman MP Catherine Wambilianga,Bungoma county CEC Antony Walela and other leaders.

Leaders at the function lauded Hon Mwambu Mabongah  for the initiative pledging to support its implementation and goodwill diplomacy in their regions.
