MWAMBU, BUMULA EARMARKED FOR THE NG-CDF FETE FOR PRUDENTIAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT.

By Our Correspondent.

Bumula Constituency and its legislator Mwambu Mabongah will be feted for prudent resource management by the National Government Constituency Development Fund. This is according to NG-CDF Board Chair Mr. Masese and CEO Yusuf Mbuno, who expressed their awe upon completing a tour of projects sampled in each of the seven wards, across the expansive Constituency.

Speaking at the St. Michael Nakhwana Primary School where the tour culminated in the opening of a CDF funded three classrooms and office project,Mbuno told Wananchi that he has never seen anywhere, the zeal for development and economical prudence in maximising available meagre resources to address teething community needs over a very short period. Mbuno narrated the tour which started early in the morning, trolling over what he saw and liked from working on ensuring pupils do not learn from under the tree and ridding the Constituency of mudwalled structures, to giving the security agencies quality housing as stipulated in the NG-CDF Act.

"There is no better way of measuring development and transformation than by seeing and feeling. We have seen the state of school infrastructure even when CDF has existed for over 15 years. There was evidently nothing done before. Your MP's one year budget that he has controlled is now showing you what CDF was intended to address when it was started by former President Mwai Kibaki. Mud walls are being replaced with stone classrooms. That is the transformation," he said.

Mr. Masese assured citizens and the MP that aside from being feted, the CDF Board would be considering the legislator's request to leverage funding to constituencies so that parameters such as size of constituencies and population be engrained in funding policies to assist development conscious legislators actualise their development dreams.

The team visited Mwiruti Primary School,Lukusi Primary School, Bukumuma Primary School, Biliso Primary School, Lukhuna Primary school,Mateka AP Camp,Khasoko ACCs office,Mundaa Primary School, Mabusi Chief's Office,Mutua Primary School, Mikokwe ACK Secondary School, Wesimikha Primary School, Myanga AP Camp,Myanga Secondary School, Tulukuyi Secondary School, Napara ACK Primary School, Namuningie Primary School, Wacholi Primary School, Tabala Primary School Syombe Primary School Mwiyenga Primary School and Nakhwana Primary School where there are complete projects carried out by CDF in the last financial year.
