BUMULA MP ISSUES 50 MOTORBIKES TO OPERATORS, SECURES EMPLOYMENT FOR TWO:



Bumula Member of Parliament Mwambu Mabongah has issued 50 motorbikes to Bodaboda operators drawn from Siboti, Kimaeti, and West Bukusu wards which form Kimaeti Sub County. 

The ceremony which was held at Kitabisi Market kicked off with a free service and free fuel donation to all operators who availed themselves at the venue, courtesy of Car & General and the  Office of the MP.  

The MP's public request to Car & General's manager for placement of riders with qualifications into their rank and file was well positively received with the General Manager granting two job opportunities of a sales person and a technician to available riders with qualification.

"Mheshimiwa your request is granted. I will employ one with a diploma in Sales and Marketing and another with a craft Certification in Automotive Engineering," the manager said.

The Bodaboda Empowerment exercise is one of the most successful,self sustaining project through a revolving fund program. The first batch saw 80 Bodaboda operators own their motorbikes with the second phase launched today.  The program has so far seen a total of 135 motorbikes issued out in Bumula and Kimaeti sub counties.
